Bridgepoint Strategy partners with growing companies to assess what is not working, align the people and processes around what matters, and advance toward a stronger operating foundation.
We start on-site and in the weeds: interviews, data, workflows, and the numbers that do not add up. No templates, no assumptions carried in from the last client. Just a clear, evidenced picture of what is actually happening.
We bring HR, Finance, Operations, and Compliance back into agreement: the same policies, the same numbers, the same priorities, so decisions in one function stop quietly undermining another.
We hand off a plan your team can run without us: clear owners, sequenced priorities, and the systems needed to keep it working long after the engagement ends.
Most operating problems do not live inside a single department; they live in the gaps between them. We work across all four so the fixes actually hold.
Org design, policy, performance systems, and the people processes that hold up past founder-led hiring.
Forecasting, reporting cadence, cash visibility, and controls that hold up to a lender or an audit.
Workflow design, vendor and resource planning, and the handoffs that break when a company grows fast.
Regulatory readiness, policy documentation, and an audit trail that turns compliance from a fire drill into a system.
Not every gap needs a full engagement. Sometimes a team is short a specialist for a stretch, or a specific initiative needs dedicated hands to get across the finish line. We plug in for the length of the project, across HR, Finance, Operations, or Compliance, then step back out.
Cover a gap left by turnover, leave, or a role that has not been backfilled yet, without the cost or timeline of a full hire.
A system rollout, an audit prep, a policy rewrite: dedicated support to get a defined project done, documented, and handed off.
Extra bandwidth during a crunch, such as year-end close, an accreditation cycle, or a compliance deadline, without burning out your core team.
Most engagements today are scoped projects with a defined start, deliverable, and end date: the fastest way to fix a specific gap. Our longer-term direction is inside-out consulting: working embedded alongside your leadership team on an ongoing basis, rather than parachuting in for a single fix. If that ongoing model is what you are looking for now, we would still like to hear about it.
A defined scope, a clear deliverable, a firm end date. Best for a specific HR, Finance, Operations, or Compliance gap that needs to be fixed and handed off.
Continuing, inside-out involvement with your leadership team, not a single project but a standing operating partner across functions. Currently taking early conversations.
Bridgepoint Strategy was founded by Melissa Guy, Owner & Principal, to help growing companies fix the operating gaps that quietly slow them down.
Melissa is a Central Michigan University alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, and brings deep, hands-on operating experience to Bridgepoint Strategy. As Director of Finance and Human Resources in the energy industry for over a decade, she helped grow the business sixfold in revenue and headcount and expand into new markets, while building the compliance practices, HR systems, and safety protocols to support that growth. Her approach is rooted in a Kaizen mindset: small, everyday improvements paired with bigger strategic shifts where they are needed. She has experience working directly with entrepreneurs launching new businesses, correcting sales and payroll tax compliance issues, and building HR processes from onboarding through offboarding. Outside of Bridgepoint, Melissa is an entrepreneur and real estate investor, serves on the boards of the Traverse City Country Club and TART Trails, and lives in Traverse City with her husband, Jeff, and their two daughters.
Thank you for the excellent deep dive on [the project]. Truly grateful for attention to detail. Know that both Annie and I are excited about your fresh and valuable view on it.
This dashboard is so fun! Now that I understand what inputs are affecting which output, I completely understand it. I'm excited to keep utilizing this dashboard.
Whether it is a single project or an ongoing partnership, the first conversation is free, and usually the fastest way to know where to start.
